LEED Services

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System™ is an internationally recognized green building certification system providing a benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. The LEED for Existing Buildings Rating System helps building owners and operators measure operations, improvements, and maintenance on a

consistent scale, with the goal of maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts. LEED for Existing Buildings addresses whole-building cleaning and maintenance issues (including chemical use), recycling programs, exterior maintenance programs, and systems upgrades. PJS believes in supporting our clients’ efforts to become LEED certified and makes our LEED-AP available to our janitorial service clients’ project teams as either a project member or consultant. These services are available at no charge for clients who engage PJS as their cleaning service provider.

The scope of services provided at no charge includes:

Certification administration & project registration (client to pay fee)
Review of all MPRs, credit prerequisites and other certification requirements
Review of regional and exemplary credit opportunities
Credit probability assessment
Team training on policies, programs, narratives and performance document collection

Team training on LEED reviewer protocols and submittal anaylsis
Credit completion and submital for IEQ credits 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5
Review of all project submittals for consistency and credit requirementsVetted, generic policies available for:
Building Exterior & Hardscape Management Plan, Sustainable Purchasing, Solid Waste Management, Green Cleaning Policy
